On SUPER BOWL Sunday, February 11th, Rabba Fine Foods, through their Rabba Roots Community program, sponsored the Good Shepherd annual Super Bowl party. Rabba, and their partners including Pizzeria Libretto, Maple Leaf Foods, Lassonde, Campbell’s, Heritage Foods, and Conagra, donated food items, snacks, and care packages to be enjoyed by the shelter guests on game day as well as during the following weeks.
The delicious menu included gourmet pizza, chicken wings, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, fruits, deserts, beverages and more than 2,500 snacks.
The generosity of Rabba and their partners was incredible, and all in attendance had a fantastic time cheering on the exciting football action while eating all the delicious food that was provided for them.
This event shows just how integral the community is for Good Shepherd to be able to provide support services for the homeless community. Rabba also recognizes the importance of community involvement, and it is at the heart of their business philosophy:
“I know that we’re better together and we’re better when we are all supporting each other and pushing each other into a better way of living,” Rabba Director of Marketing Rima Rabba said. “It’s not just about who can come into our stores and afford groceries. We are here for our neighbourhoods and our communities and that will always extend beyond our business model.” *
