Compassion in action

The goal of the Pastoral Care Program is to keep the flame of hospitality alive by providing a ministry of presence and availability to all who come here –clients, co-workers volunteers and visitors.

This can be at the front door, in the dining room or one-on-one.

In addition, we provide practical support, internal and external referrals, prison or hospital visits, liturgies, baptisms, end of life care and funerals. We also facilitate a spiritual care group that is part of the Good Shepherd’s Drug & Alcohol Recovery program.

We are also pleased to mentor students, do community outreach, give talks and retreats.

Whatever is required, when someone comes through the doors of Good Shepherd Ministries, they will find people available to listen, to offer acceptance and understanding, to rekindle hope.
